September 2016 School Holiday Golf Camp


Mizuno Golf School will be having a 4 day Golf camp this September during the School holidays. Our Holiday Golf camp provides an excellent opportunity for junior golfers to improve their golf technical skills as well as a great chance to get on the golf course and improve their course management skills. The most important part of Holiday camps are that they play an important to create the most beneficial learning experience.

Our camps will run from Tuesday September 6th -9th September, 3pm- 7pm. It will be for both boys and girls between the ages of 5-9 years old.

Each day will kick start with a two hour hands-on instructions with golf drills, games, fitness and will create an environment to sharpen their golf skills and bring it to the next level. This will help to build them up to be confident and to have fun in golf.

Camp Highlights

  • 4 Hours of hands-on instruction each day

  • On course golf coaching for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday ( Thursdays – golf course not opened for on course coaching)

  • 6:1 Student to Instructor ratio

  • Mini Skills test

  • Each Participant will receive a Certificate of participation

MGS camp fees:

$80 for MGS students

$90 for new students

* (additional) Green fees : $9.63 (member) $26.75 for green fees

** Camp fees does not include range balls or golf course fees.

Daily Lesson Plan

Tuesday, September 6th


3:00 PM:

Gather and meet at Mizuno Golf School for attendance.


3:15 PM - 4:15 PM:


  • Long game: Posture, Set up, Alignment

  • Ball position

  • Video analysis

  • Mini Skill test

4:15 PM - 4:45 PM:


  • Short game (Chip and run shots)

  • Short Chips to 10 meters

  • Long Chips to 18 meters

4:45 PM - 5:00 PM

Fitness : Balance and coordination skills

(These exercises help with developing balance, core control, coordination and body awareness)

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM


  • Back at Reception to register and prepare for Golf course

  • Putting practice for 5-10 minutes

  • On course lesson: Pre Shot routine

Each student will have to do a pre shot routine before each shot

(Pre-Shot routines are very important as it helps prepare a player to execute the shot and it helps build consistent in the swing)

Wednesday, September 7th


3:00 PM:

Gather and meet at Mizuno Golf School for attendance.


3:15 PM - 4:00 PM:

  • Long game: Posture and Set up

  • Weight transfer

  • Impact position

  • Practice to a certain target

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM:

Short game Pitch Shots to over 30 meters ​5:00 PM - 7:00 PM:

  • Back at Reception to register and prepare for Golf course

  • Putting practice for 5 - 10 minutes

  • On course lesson: Course Management (Being aware of where are the hazards and Out of bounds)

Each student will have to do a pre-shot routine before each shot

(Pre-Shot routines are very important as it helps prepare a player to execute the shot and it helps build consistent in the swing)


Thursday, September 8th

3:00 PM:

Gather and meet at Mizuno Golf School for attendance.

3:15 PM - 5:00 PM:

  • Long game: Posture, Set up, Alignment

  • Alignment, Ball position, Stance

  • Plane/ Shoulder Motion (Rotation of shoulder)

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM:

  • Short game (Chip, pitch and putt)

  • Chipping 10 meters (40 minutes)

  • Pitch 30 meters (40 minutes)

  • Putting 3 feet and 20 feet and green reading (40 minutes)

Friday, September 9th


3:00 PM:

Gather and meet at Mizuno Golf School for attendance.


3:15 PM - 4:15 PM:

  • Long game: Posture, Set up, Alignment

  • Ball flight control: Low shots

  • Mini Skill test

4:15 PM - 4:45 PM:

  • Fundamental movement skills (agility, throwing, Ground Based Striking Skills, balance Coordination Skills)

4:45 PM - 5:00 PM:

Fitness : Balance and coordination skills

(These exercises help with developing balance, core control , coordination and body awareness)


5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

  • Back at Reception to register and prepare for Golf course

  • Putting practice for 5-10 minutes

  • On course lesson: Recording their total number of putts

Each student will have to do a pre-shot routine before each shot

(Pre-Shot routines are very important as it helps prepare a player to execute the shot and it helps build consistent in the swing)
