CLASS OUTLINE

Students will review their learning in from Module E. During the course students will acquire applied practical techniques and aim to improve their on-course scores.  Students will understand how to play shots on a slope, course & game management as well as reaching a level that enables them to improve their scores through their short game skills.

Controlled Swing YTA & Short Approach Shots I (Chip/Pitch & Run)

Students understand the concept of controlled swings for different shot types. Students also understand the concept of one and two lever swings.

 

Controlled Swing YTA & Short Approach Shots II (Pitch & Lob Shot)

Students understand the concept of controlled swings for different shot types. Students also understand the concept the two lever swing.

Greenside Bunker Shots

Students understand the function, incidence angle and clubface direction of the sand wedge and perform shots using the sand wedge. Students understand how to play from semi-buried and buried lies.

 

Putting

Students will understand the essentials of GAP, stroke length, face stability and rhythm. Students show knowledge of green reading, visualization and speed control. 

 

Shots from a slope – Uphill and Downhill

Students can understand two shots from a slope: Uphill & Downhill based on GAP and using controlled swings.  

 

Shots from a slope – Ball Above & Below Feet and Combination Lies

Students can understand two shots from a slope: Ball Above and Below the feet based on GAP and using controlled swings.

 

Fairway Bunker & Recovery Shots (Rough, Bare Lies & Divots)

Students can understand GAP changes for fairway bunker, rough, bare lies and divot shots.

Course & Game Management

Students can understand joy of golf, develop on course strategies and develop shot selection skills.
