In this course, students will learn the correct golf swing motions and understand their theory and to master the shots according to each club. Students will understand the 11 factors that comprise a golf swing and upon completion of this course, students will reach a level where they can perform full motion swings and controlled swings while appreciating their own tempo, rhythm and timing.
Students will learn how to use their body and develop awareness of the movements in each body part, combining them in to a single full swing motion.
Students will re-learn how to grip the club, selecting the best grip type for their hand type. A demonstration of grip pressure and how different grip position can influence the direction of the clubface at impact should also be shown.
SWING THEORY & Ball Flight Mechanism: Direction
Students can understand the relationship between the 4 items of SWING THEORY and the ball flight mechanism.
SWING THEORY & Ball Flight Mechanism: Distance
Students will understand the relationship between the 4 items of SWING THEORY and the ball flight mechanism.
SWING THEORY & Ball Flight Mechanism: Height
Students have knowledge of swing line (SL) & Club Face Orientation (FD). Using the SL x FD = FL equation, they will have knowledge of the 9 basic ball flights.
Tempo, Rhythm and Timing
Students can appreciate the tempo, rhythm and timing that form the base of their golf swings.
Controlled Swings “YTA”
Students understand the concept of controlled swings for different shot types. Students also understand the concept of one and two lever swings.
Students are videoed in the areas of GAP and Full Swing motion to establish areas needed for improvement in Module B.
